Summer 2026 Mellon Internship at the Art Museum of the University of Memphis

The Art Museum of the University of Memphis seeks a college student pursuing a career in museums or a related field to serve as its Mellon intern. The intern will be responsible with assisting the museum’s staff in daily operations, giving tours to the public of the museum’s exhibitions, collections upkeep, etc. The position requires knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Applicants should have a genuine interest working in a museum setting. The intern will gain a unique range of skills that include working with and handling objects within the collections, networking with museum professionals, curators, and artists, and learning the ropes in museum work.
